Once he was inside, it was tempting to just collapse on his couch and pass out right then and there. But he forced himself to stay awake long enough to bind up his wounds - and send a quick message.]

[He doesn't respond for a good few hours after that. It's a little hard to write messages while completely and thoroughly unconscious. He just spent the previous night and part of the morning bleeding excessively, getting into fights, and walking for long distances, he's just done.]
